The Duomo Cathedral in Milan, Italy

Our Trip to Milan was a whirlwind indeed. The city was beautiful and the weather was nice and warm. Our tour guide wasn't the best and I do wish I had been able to explore a bit more without being in such a rush. I tried to capture as many photos as possible. The Duomo is at the center of Milan in Piazza del Duomo and is one of the largest churches in the world.

the westernmost extremity

After the flea market in Clignancourt, T and I grabbed a quick lunch and took the M1 all the way La Défense. It is mostly a business district but the view is amazing. There is also a fantastic mall located amongst all of the tall buildings. We had coffee with Thien's family then explored a bit. On the way home we discovered a hidden skate park. It was closed at the time but I do plan to check it out again.

The Eiffel Tower lights up every evening from sunset to 1am. A ten minute show of glimmering lights is added during the first five minutes each hour on the hour. It was romantic and sweet, and the perfect way to end the night.
I'll miss you Mr. Lu, very very much. <3

A Birthday in Paris....well actually Milan. We leave on Wednesday and I've requested that everyone bring their best dressed attire for a fancy birthday dinner and night out with Milan's finest. What a wonderful way to bring in another year of life. Cheers.
