Today we visited the Madame Grès exhibit at the Musée Bourdelle. She was a talented designer and very well known for the way in which she designed woman's clothing. Grès draping method is what makes her pieces most memorable, as she sculpted the fabric directly on the models body. The museum displayed 80 pieces starting from 1934 to 1989. Every single garment was absolutely amazing. I found it fascinating that all of the dresses were so timeless. Even though they had be made years and years ago, I would gladly wear any piece today and every day after that.
